Bio

Professor Jorge Peña studies how digital media shape communication, attitudes, and behavior. His research focuses on virtual reality, avatar embidiment, video games, and AI-mediated communication, with particular attention to persuasion, social interaction, health, and intergroup relations. Across this work, he examines how immersive and interactive technologies can influence identity, wellbeing, prejudice reduction, and prosocial action.
